CarePoint Health Offers Naming Rights Opportunities to Support Compassionate Healthcare in Hudson County

CarePoint hospitals and various units and departments open to naming opportunities

JERSEY CITY, NJ – CarePoint Health, the leading nonprofit healthcare provider in Hudson County, is excited to announce a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for philanthropic leaders and organizations to make a lasting impact on healthcare in the region. In partnership with its newly formed charitable arm, the Just Health Foundation, CarePoint is offering naming rights at its three safety net hospitals and various other naming opportunities to qualified donors.

“CarePoint’s commitment to serving the Hudson County community is absolute — this year alone we have provided over $70 million in charity care to uninsured and underinsured residents who desperately needed care,” said President and CEO of CarePoint Health, Achintya Moulick, MD, MBA, MCh. “We are thrilled to provide an opportunity for businesses and individuals to leave a lasting legacy in healthcare while helping ensure continued access to high-quality healthcare for everyone in our community. Caring for our community is more than just our responsibility; it’s our passion and we look forward to partnering with philanthropic leaders who share our vision for a healthier and more vibrant Hudson County.”

CarePoint is offering naming rights on the main hospital tower at $10 million and above and on each of the hospital buildings and various units, departments and endowed chairs at $1 million and above. CarePoint Health aims to attract top nationally recognized talent to New Jersey to enhance healthcare provided to the communities within Hudson County and the surrounding areas. The naming rights initiative will support the continued excellence of CarePoint Health’s three safety-net hospitals, invest in cutting-edge technology, recruit top-tier medical talent, and enhance the overall patient experience.

Renowned for its steadfast commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered healthcare, CarePoint is taking this step in order to bolster its mission and reinforce its connection to the community it serves. The initiative also marks a significant milestone as CarePoint transitions into nonprofit status, enabling it to extend its reach and support even more individuals and families in Hudson County. The Just Health Foundation, the philanthropic extension of CarePoint Health, embodies the organization’s mission to engage with and support the diverse and vibrant community that defines the heart and soul of Hudson County while driving innovation in the community.

The acclaimed Lown Institute, a think tank founded by Nobel Prize winner Dr. Bernard Lown, ranks hospitals according to their social responsibility and inclusivity. In 2021, Christ Hospital was ranked #1 in the nation as the most socially responsible hospital. In 2022, Christ Hospital was ranked #4 in the State of New Jersey, and top 25 nationally for Community Benefit. In 2020, during the height of the pandemic, HUMC was ranked #1 in the State of N.J. for providing high value care. The data clearly underscores these hospitals’ pivotal role in addressing healthcare disparities and building healthier communities. However, ongoing fiscal and operational hurdles persist, with over 50% of patients being uninsured/underinsured and more than 50,000 charity care patients (inpatient and outpatient) cared for annually.
